UnitSnap is a Chrome extension that converts unit values (length, weight, temperature, volume, speed, and area) when you select text on any webpage. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data UnitSnap accesses and how it is used.
UnitSnap does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
The extension reads text that you explicitly select on a webpage solely to detect and convert unit values. This processing happens entirely within your browser — nothing is sent to any external server or third party.
| Data | Purpose | Stored or Shared? |
|---|---|---|
| Selected text on webpages | Detect unit values to convert | ❌ Never |
| User preferences (preferred units) | Remember your unit settings | Locally in Chrome only |
User preferences are stored using Chrome’s local storage (chrome.storage.sync) and are never transmitted outside your browser.
UnitSnap does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
If this policy is updated, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
